New to yoga? You don’t need to be flexible, fit, or experienced—just curious.

Evolve body, mind, and spirit with yoga and wellness coaching

Hi, I’m Ursa Abernathy, a yoga teacher (RYT-500) and wellness coach. I help people feel stronger, more at ease, and more connected—both in body and mind.

If you’re new to yoga, returning after time away, or feeling unsure about where to start, you’re in the right place. My approach is gentle, supportive, and practical, with an emphasis on helping you feel comfortable and confident in your own body.

My journey with yoga and personal development has been deeply transformative, and I’m passionate about sharing these tools in ways that are accessible and meaningful. Whether your goal is to reduce stress, improve mobility, support your body through pregnancy or postpartum, or simply feel better day-to-day, I offer step-by-step guidance you can actually use in everyday life.

I teach community yoga classes in Merrill, WI, online sessions, pre- and postnatal yoga, workplace wellness programs, and private one-on-one sessions. Each offering is designed to meet you where you are—no flexibility, strength, or yoga experience required.

My teaching is rooted in Viniyoga, a gentle, therapeutic, breath-centered style of yoga that adapts to each individual. You’ll be guided through mindful movement, breathing practices, and simple stress-management tools, with options always offered so you can choose what feels right for your body.

I’ve completed a 200-hour vinyasa yoga teacher training and a 300-hour advanced yoga teacher training in Viniyoga through River Flow Yoga in Wausau, WI, and I am currently enrolled in the American Viniyoga Institute’s four-year yoga therapy training program, completing in 2028. Ongoing learning is important to me so I can continue offering safe, thoughtful, and supportive practices.

Why do I do this work? Because yoga has changed the way I move through my own life, and I’ve seen how powerful these practices can be when they’re taught with care. My goal is to help you feel steadier, stronger, and more at home in your body—both on and off the mat.

If you’re curious about practicing together—whether in a class, private session, pre- or postnatal setting, or workplace environment—I’d love to connect. Take a look around the site, join my mailing list, or book a call to explore what might be a good fit for you.

I look forward to practicing with you.
